"Well, that's pretty early", said George. "Can you wake up? I am often out at dawn, but you are not used to it". "Of course, we can wake up",
said Julian. "Well - here we are back at the beach again - and I'm jolly glad. My arms are awfully tired and I'm so hungry I could eat a whole lardeful of things".

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins today. How are you celebrating? If you're not, how do you plan on guiding your fate over the course of the next year?

I don't know how to celebrate it. Perhaps sitting at home... I want to meet my love the next year. But how can I plan this? I can only hope...

The Japanese haiku poet Basho once wrote, "Old pond / a frog jumps / the sound of water." Try writing some of your own haikus about the little things in your life. A haiku generally consists of a five-syllable line, a seven-syllable line and a second five-syllable line. You can also use any combination of ten-to-fourteen syllables.

my dreams...

The subject which was always very interesting for me is where there boundary between our dreams and reality is. And if our dreams are real to some extend. For example, you can see something in your dream and in some time it comes true. I have a lot of dreams of this kind. I wonder, is it natural for everybody or am I an exception.

The story about my dreams which I want to tell is connected with my grandmother. She died in September many years ago. And I don’t remember the exact day of her death. Sometimes I even don’t remember that she died in this month. But! Each September I see one and the same dream: my grandmother is alive and she is talking to me. I don’t remember at least a word from our conversation, but she reminds me not to forget the day of her death. Her deathday, if I can say in this manner.

Can you give me any reasonable explanation of my dream?

What do children learn at school today?

Nowadays children learn at school that ghosts are human's friends. This small ghostly story I took from one school text-book. I think that soon there will be a generation able to deal with ghosts as with friends. Teengers are taught now that ghosts are our friends and are not afraid of them.

How do you feel about Pluto's recent demotion? Should it still be a planet?

Well, I won't shout: "Oh, no! Pluto must remain a planet!" No. If it's not a planet, it's OK for me. But what is Pluto in this case? And how will children be taught at school about Pluto?
